ROBETAS MIDNIGHT EXPRESS AT AZUCENA - Thor

 

Thor came in to our lives in 2007, at 15 weeks old he was already a big dog, and we could see that he was destined to be like his dad, a very large and robust Frenchie. Thor came to us from Robetas Kennels, like Bailey this was a non showing kennels but who use some of the most famous lines in the UK in there intensive breeding programme. Thor carries Fawn, brindle and pied in his genes. Unlike Bailey Thor carries a very strong square head with very prominent features.

At 1 year old Thor weighed in at 12.5kg and still had a lot of filling out to do. He has a very sound posture and stands well on his toes. Like all my dogs Thor is able to walk for miles and run for hours, his movement is smooth and his muscles very well pronounced a pleasure to watch to say the least. Thor was never made for the show ring, he is far to fond of being part of the family and snoozing on the sofa all day, and loves to bounce like a Looney in front of new person he comes across. He has the sweetest temperament and although I don't like choosing between them all, Thor is defiantly 'mummies boy'.

Thor has an extremely even and laid back approach to life and knows when he has had enough of something and will quite happily sit by and watch the world go by. His laid back temperament means that he is fantastic with our pups and enjoys playing with them, he is so gentle, even though he is puppy still himself he knows the limits and sets the boundaries.

Thor is very fond of our Dogue Brandy, they always grab the crates next to each other at bed time and will try and snuggle in each others if I am not looking, they will quite happily take turns at eating out of the same bowl at dinner time and neither one seems hog the bowl!!! Thor is destined to play a big part in my breeding programme, and we are looking forward to breeding him with Venus in 2011, there pedigrees and there types more then compliment each other and we know that they will bring another outstanding litter of pups to Azucena.
